Itinerary

The journey starts from Delhi and brings you back on the same day. Start your journey early in the morning, our travel agent will pick you up and head towards Haridwar, which is about 4 hour’s drive. Your first stop will be Har-ki-Pauri, one of the holiest Ghats in the country where Ganga touché plains, leaving behind the pristine ranges of the Himalayas. This ghat is also known as Brahma Kund, where you can see the view of Lord Vishnu’s foot. After that, visit Mansa Devi Temple or Bilwa Tirath to seek the blessings of God.

Now, get ready to explore the two popular bridges of Rishikesh, first is Lakshman Jhula, the famous bridge across the holy river Ganga. The other bridge is Ram Jhula, the iron Parallax Bridge on the river Ganga, named after Lakshman’s brother, Lord Ram.

Before visiting Gita Bhavan, Sapt Rishi Ashram, Sivananda Ashram, Beatles Ashram, Parmath Niketan Temple, Swarg Ashram, and Ma Anandamayee Ashram, enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant at your expense.

After lunch drive for visiting Agra Fort, built in red sandstone with its magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience and the beautiful gardens. This is where Emperor Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his third son Aurangzeb and spent the last year of his life viewing the Taj Mahal from across the river Yamuna.

In the evening, visit Haridwar to witness the Ganga Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri that started several decades ago. It is a beautiful place on the bank of another side where you will see the priests light up the lamps clockwise with songs in praise of Mother Ganga. After this ritual, devotees will cup their hands over the flame and raise their palms to the forehead to seek the Goddess’s purification and blessings. Later, head back to Delhi to get transferred to Delhi airport/railway station for an onward journey home with unforgettable memories.
